My sweater is finished. When I went to buy buttons, I had a hard time deciding if I wanted to use blue ones that were the same color as the sweater or silver antique looking buttons, so I bought both. After I got them home, I decided on the silver ones. I like the looks of the finished sweater, but the fat old lady wearing it - not so much. :)
You are beautiful Nan, and so is the sweater! Love that color. I just ordered the Bishop baby dress pattern and hope to get it finished in time for Christmas - fingers crossed. My daughter is 2 and I know it is a baby pattern, but she is quite petite. If it does not work as a dress I'm sure it will work as a sweater for her. That's the beauty of dressing little girls - once they outgrow their dresses they can be worn as tops! Have a wonderful holiday season.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your lovely comments. The Bishop dress pattern is very wide so the width might not be an issue for your 2 year old. You might need to increase the length of the raglan "seam" though. Measure your little girl so you can get the raglan the length needed to fit her, otherwise it will bind under the arms. The sleeves can be knit until they're the correct length too. I'm sure she'll look adorable in it. :)
DeleteMerry Christmas and Happy Knitting!
