A Sweater for Me

I had to stop knitting for a few months because of tendinitis in my arm so there are no new baby sweater photos to share, but I need a new sweater for myself so it will be a while longer before I do any baby knitting.

I started and frogged two different sweaters for me. I didn't like the way one looked or the way the other fit. Now I am working on the February Lady Sweater pattern by Pamela Wynne and this one seems good so far. The yoke is done and I started the lace pattern that is worked on the body and lower sleeves. The yarn is Wool of the Andes worsted weight in Mink Heather from Knit Picks. I wanted a neutral color to go with everything. Here is what is done so far.

I'm still wading my way through my knitting pattern ideas. Today, I finally published this one - Rolled Neck Pullover. It's available on Ravelry and Craftsy (see the column to the far right).

This one is  very easy, has a round neck, is seamless and is worked top-down.

I only have one idea that hasn't found it's way into a pattern yet and I'm working on it. :)

Happy knitting!

Sport Weight Striped Cardi

I've been busy! Sunday I finished writing my pattern for the Round Collar Cardigan and today I finished writing the pattern for my Sport Weight Striped Cardi. They are both now on Ravelry and Craftsy.

Now I need to finish knitting 3 more sizes of my next design and I'll be (almost) caught up! :)

Round Collar Cardigan

I finally blocked the Round Collar Cardigan sweaters and finished typing the pattern and putting it on Ravelry and Craftsy for sale. Somehow I got involved with designing 3 new patterns, seemingly at the same time during the past month or so.

I started one sweater, then had an idea for another and before I knew it I had 3 new designs worked out, each in only one size. I finally sat down and told myself to work on one at a time or I'd never get anything done!

My new Round Collar Cardigan  pattern is now complete, in 4 sizes 0-3 mos, 3-6 mos, 6-9 mos and 9-12 mos. Whew! Typing the pattern for my striped yoke cardigan should be done in a few days, then I can finish knitting 3 more sizes for the third pattern which doesn't yet have a name.

Here's the Round Collar Cardigan. I like the Mock Cable on the front band. The holes in the cable work as buttonholes!

Baby V-Neck Pullover

I have been working on 4 different baby sweater patterns, seemingly at the same time, for the past month or so, but I finally finished one yesterday and typed it out. Hooray for me! This one is the easiest of them so I really don't have any excuse for not finishing is sooner.

This Baby V-Neck Pullover is worked seamless from the neck down and the yoke is worked flat until it is joined at the bottom of the V-neck.The sleeves and bottom portion of the sweater are knit in the round and
stitches for the neck band are picked up and worked in the round also. The solid colored sweater has a cable panel worked down the center of each sleeve (directions are in the pattern), but several of the samples were knit using stripes of alternating 3 colors for the yoke and tops of the sleeves. The cables on the sleeves were omitted on the striped samples.

Now I need to get back to the other 3 designs. :)

I received a great gift for Christmas from my Daughter and her family - an iPad Mini. I love it! I also received a red (my favorite color) Smart Cover for it to protect the screen. Because I'd like to carry it with me in my pocketbook I decided to knit a cozy for it to keep it from getting scratched by the "junk" I keep in my bag.

I've written up the pattern for the cozy and call it iPad Mini Cabled Cozy. If you'd like a copy of the pattern, it's for sale on Ravelry and Craftsy. If you click on either My designs on or My designs on on the right top area beside this blog, it will take you to my patterns.
